Wolverton Town Band are unable to perform at this weekends Bandstand Concert due to lack of available band members, we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Thousands of people visited the River Festival over the weekend in what was our most successful festival EVER. We had it all; great weather, the fly past, the sacking of Castle Mound, Dragon boats, carnival delights in the High Street of Bedford, giant games, funfair and villages galore! Sports, Markets, Mind Body and Soul and music from four stages, the best of Bedford's local bands entertaining the crowds, bands from around the world on the main stage, giant screens so you don't miss a thing and all the action from across the festival. The spectacular firework finale was enjoyed by nearly 100,000 people!

The 2010 Bedford International Kite Festival

A big thank you to all our guests from the UK and across the world for another fantastic memorable Kite Festival.

The sun shone on Saturday and the spectators turned out in there thousands, to witness some fantastic kites, although the wind conditions were difficult all the fliers made an amazing effort to showcase as many kites as possible.

The weather was much better for flying on Sunday with a vast array of kites on display, the odd spits and spots of rain didn't dampen the crowd and the kite stalls and other traders reported a brisk days trading.

So we look forward to 2011 and once again a big thank you to all involved in the kite festival this year.

Killer lines, killer crimes and some seriously weird sisters. Critically acclaimed touring company the Pantaloons return on Sunday 11th July to Bedford to have a stab at Shakespeare's tale of murder and madness. A modern twist on an age old play, the audience loved the Pantaloons version of Macbeth.

The dates for the 2010 Victorian Christmas Fair have been announced as Friday 10th-Sunday 12th December.
