Our Faculty of Education and Sport is based at our Bedford campus and sports education is at the heart of what we do, which is why we are sponsoring the Festival’s Sports Village.

Those of us fortunate enough to live or work in Bedford know what a great place it is.  But every other year the River Festival gives us a fantastic excuse to invite the rest of the world in to share it with us and take home unforgettable memories.

Wells and Young’s is immensely proud of our Bedford home, and all the heritage that goes with it.  So it’s only natural that we should be one of the main sponsors of the River Festival, spearheaded by one of Bedford’s favourite beers – Wells Eagle.  

The Eagle has been a sign of Bedford’s independence since 1265 and Wells Eagle is now as central to the identity of the town as the one representing Bedford Borough Council.  Just as the River Great Ouse runs through the centre of the town, Wells Eagle is at the heart of its Bedfordshire community and is brewed in Bedford using natural mineral water.

Bedfordshire on Sunday are delighted to sponsor the Bedford river festival. It is without doubt the biggest event in the town’s calendar. Over the years we have sponsored the fireworks, launched races, cruised the river and hosted BBQ’s in the riverside restaurants. As Bedford’s premier news source it is important to us to enjoy the weekend as well as cover it in our newspaper and website. In2beats FM will be bringing Bedford River Festival the best selection of urban music from our own DJ's & Hosts throughout the week-end and also broadcasting the event live on the In2beats dial 106.5 from our own stage on Mill Meadows. We will also have live performances from Local artists in our area who have been selected by you the listeners from our Love Local Shows.

We will keep everyone up to date with what is going on at the Festival and without forgetting the countdown for the Fireworks

The Harpur Trust: Sponsor of the Dragonboat Races 

The Harpur Trust has one goal – to help and support the people who live in and around Bedford.  Through our extensive community grants programme, educational partnerships and our Harpur Trust schools we are able to inspire and help local people to improve their lives or those of others. So with our goal in mind we are delighted to be sponsoring the Dragon Boat races at this year's River Festival – an event that brings the local community together.
